Vactrim Light
Explore our elite engineering selection designed for high-end commercial, hotel, retail, and workplace spaces.
Over the last decade, high-end interior architecture has undergone a radical transformation, shifting from functional spatial layouts to integrated sensory environments. At the heart of this shift is the concept of "visual quietness"—the conscious removal of distracting hardware from ceilings to prioritize spatial purity and light impact. Trimless recessed fixtures (often referred to as plaster-in or mud-in fixtures) represent the ultimate synthesis of this philosophy.
By eliminating the standard metal or plastic perimeter flange, trimless luminaires sit completely flush with the ceiling surface, blending seamlessly into the architectural plane. The light appears to emanate directly from the structure itself, creating clean, uninterrupted lines. This clean aesthetic is crucial for high-profile retail spaces, museum galleries, luxury residences, and premium corporate offices, where the presence of standard surface trims compromises the design intent.
Globally, the market for architectural lighting has experienced a major transition toward these solutions. Real estate developers, mechanical and electrical (M&E) consultants, and interior lighting designers now regularly specify trimless downlights, adjustable spotlights, linear profiles, and modular magnetic track systems. These systems are selected not only for their clean aesthetics but also for their superior lighting performance, beam precision, and glare control.
Developing a truly premium architectural luminaire requires balancing optical efficiency with thermal and structural design.
Utilizing deep-recessed COB light engines combined with high-grade optical reflectors to achieve narrow cut-off angles and comfortable lighting environments.
Manufactured with die-cast ADC12 aluminum heatsinks to ensure junction temperatures remain low, preserving LED lifespan (L70/B50 > 50,000 hrs).
Perforated aluminum mesh mud-in flanges provide a secure physical bond with gypsum/plasterboards, preventing paint peeling and joint cracks over time.
The primary concern with trimless installations is structural cracking where the plaster frame meets the drywall. As buildings settle and undergo seasonal thermal contraction or expansion, drywalls experience micro-deflections. If the mud-in frame is poorly engineered, these stresses lead to hairline cracks around the lighting cutout.
To prevent this, Guangdong Vactrim Light Co., Ltd. designs our plaster frames using heavy-gauge, anti-corrosive extruded aluminum. The frame features a pattern of precision-punched countersunk holes. When the contractor applies the joint compound (mudding), it forms a mechanical interlock through the perforations, bonding the frame directly to the gypsum structure. A fiber mesh tape is applied over the joint before finishing to further distribute mechanical stress.
For spaces like luxury hotels, art galleries, and upscale retail boutiques, color rendering accuracy is non-negotiable. Standard LED lighting often falls short in the red spectrum (R9), making colors appear flat or dull. Vactrim downlights feature premium COB (Chip-on-Board) light sources with a Color Rendering Index (CRI) of Ra > 90 (and up to Ra > 97), with R9 values exceeding 50.
Additionally, we utilize strict MacAdam Ellipse color binning processes. Our architectural range guarantees a 2-step or 3-step MacAdam Ellipse (SDCM < 3) variation. This ensures that when dozens of spotlights are installed across a large hotel lobby or linear office ceiling, there are no visible differences in color temperature or chromaticity from fixture to fixture.
Modern electrical specifications vary significantly across regions. Our products are engineered with robust driver architectures that support a wide range of input voltages and dimming protocols:

To prevent cracking, our trimless plaster-in frames are manufactured from high-tensile extruded aluminum, designed with a perforated outer mesh. When installed, joint plaster forms a physical mechanical bond through these perforations. We advise contractors to use standard fiber joint tape across the flange-drywall boundary and apply premium flexible joint compounds to handle any structural shifting.
We use high-performance COB LED chips, such as Citizen, Cree, and Bridgelux, to ensure stable lumen output and color consistency. For drivers, we integrate certified brands like Lifud, Philips, Tridonic, and Mean Well. These drivers feature high power factors (PF > 0.95), low total harmonic distortion (THD < 10%), and comply with CE, CB, SAA, TUV, and ETL standards.
Our engineering team has 10–15 years of industry experience. We provide custom solutions, including modifying housing lengths, customizing beam angles, adjusting light outputs, and designing tailored mounting kits. We also support specialized color temperatures (such as 2700K–6500K Tunable White) and integrate dimming systems like DALI-2, 0-10V, and Zigbee.
We are certified under the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System. Our manufacturing process follows a structured quality flow: Incoming Quality Control (IQC) for drivers and light sources, in-line assembly testing (IPQC), and a 100% aging test under heat stress for 24–48 hours before packing. This approach minimizes defect rates to less than 0.2% on site.
For standard products, our MOQ ranges from 50 to 100 units. For fully customized OEM projects, MOQ depends on tooling needs and structural revisions. Production lead times generally average 20–25 days for standard batches and 35–45 days for custom configurations. We also maintain stock on select models to accommodate fast-track projects.
